Audit your Evernote export (.enex)
This tool counts what is in your export. Then it shows what other note apps keep and what they lose.
We do not upload your files.
Your browser reads the files on this device. The page does not send your notes, titles, text or attachments to a server. You can disconnect from the internet before you start. The audit continues to work.
1 Select your export files
Drop .enex files or a folder here
Start with one notebook: your biggest or oldest. It takes about 1 minute. You can add more files later.
How do I make an .enex file?
- Open the Evernote desktop app on Windows or Mac. The web and phone apps cannot export.
- Right-click a notebook. Select Export notebook.
- Select the ENEX format. Save the file.
- Drop the file here. One notebook is enough for a first report. Evernote exports one notebook at a time, so a full library can take 30 minutes or more.

2 Tell us about your notes
The scan continues while you answer. Six short questions. Then you see your report.

Attachments by type
The export file itself does not keep stacks, the tag tree (parent and child tags), saved searches or note history. This is true for every app. Each file is one notebook.
What each app keeps
We use the import guides of each app and our research from October 2026. “Unclear” means that we did not find a clear source. Test one notebook before you move everything.
